Department of Pediatrics Job Description
The University of Missouri School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics invite applications for the position of Senior Finance & Accounting Analyst. This key role supports the department's financial operations and contributes to advancing our mission through sound financial planning, analysis, and stewardship. Position Overview: The Senior Finance & Accounting Analyst will provide high-level financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting support to the Department of Pediatrics. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and faculty, ensuring compliance with university and regulatory standards while promoting financial efficiency and transparency. Key Responsibilities: * Lead departmental budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. * Prepare, review, and verify accounting entries, ensuring appropriate coding, documentation, and authorization. * Review and approve complex or non-recurring transactions requiring advanced knowledge of fund accounting principles. * Conduct in-depth financial and analytical assignments, leveraging a thorough understanding of the University's financial systems and policies. * Advise administrators and faculty on financial and accounting matters, providing guidance and training to support staff as needed. * Perform special projects and other duties as assigned to support departmental operations and strategic goals. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting Anticipated Hiring Range
