Migration Specialist

Please Note: This is a temporary position expected to run through December 2026.
Location: Columbus, GA
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid (Tues-Thurs in office)
Compensation: $16.83/hour


Support seamless customer transitions

Togetherwork is seeking a Migration Specialist within our Higher Education business vertical to ensure customers experience a smooth, accurate, and efficient transition from one platform to another. You'll manage the migration process end-to-end-coordinating timelines, validating data, and maintaining exceptional communication with customers throughout.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving, supporting customers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.


What you'll do


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the migration process, providing clear updates and guidance.



  • Prepare and plan each migration, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal standards.



  • Execute and validate data transfers, troubleshooting issues and ensuring complete, accurate setup on the new platform.



  • Identify potential risks early and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them proactively.



  • Maintain detailed documentation of all migration steps, communications, and outcomes.



  • Participate in internal meetings to provide feedback on migration progress, workload, and process improvements.



  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional partners to ensure a seamless transition for each client.



  • Keep internal tracking tools and project boards current and organized.



  • Guide customers through the migration process, outlining required actions and timelines.



  • Deliver software training and answer customer questions related to data migration and new system usage.



  • Build and maintain strong relationships with chapter administrators, undergraduate leaders, advisors, and headquarters staff.



  • Escalate customer feedback, product issues, or enhancement requests to the appropriate teams.




What you bring


  • High school diploma required.



  • Minimum 6 months of experience in customer service, customer support, or client management.



  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.



  • Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.



  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.



  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Office 365 applications.




Preferred:




  • Background in technical support or a related field.



  • Experience with data migration, system implementation, or similar technical processes.



  • Familiarity with Zendesk or Monday.com.
