Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Litigation Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible docket updating and maintenance and report generation. Reporting directly to the Assistant General Counsel - Surfaces & Canada, this role will have the opportunity to work with legal subject matter experts in contracting, employment law, internal investigations, data privacy and government contracting.

This is a short-term assignment that we anticipate to continue through the end of 2025.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Possible projects and initiatives this intern will work on include:

  • Work with existing GL litigation docket to bring it up-to-date based on information in TPA database and internal notes
  • Keep docket up to date based on emails from Litigation Paralegal and AGCs
  • Generate report templates and calendars to communication status of cases
  • Work with AGC and Litigation Paralegal to generate SOPs around litigation docket
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Completed one year at an ABA-accredited Law School
  • Knowledge of basic legal concepts in litigation, tort and/or employment law
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Mastery of MS 365 applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with databases and data management a plus.
