As part of the Water Design Center (WDC) in Greenville, South Carolina, theCAD (Civil 3D) Technician - Pipelineswill be responsible for developing civil engineering designs in support of various water/wastewater pipeline projects for Garver's Water Business Line. Diversity in high-volume custom projects will allow this designer the opportunity to be hands-on with detailed design, collaborate with teams of designers and engineers and produce high-quality work in a rapidly growing business line.
The Civil Technician will provide civil engineering technical and design support as required for a variety of projects related primarily to developing pipeline corridor design plans and profiles. Other projects may include pump stations, lift stations, tanks, vaults, and other ancillary structures associated with water and sewer infrastructure projects as well as other civil engineering related projects. The designer will be tasked with modeling, layout and profiling of piping networks and plans using gravity and pressure networks with Civil 3D. Other tasks may include other site/civil related design work as assigned. The civil technician will be responsible for coordination with other support discipline activities, other designers and engineers, quantity estimating, and quality assurance and control.
