VA CENTRAL CALIFORNIA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (VACCHCS)

MEDICINE SERVICE/UCSF - Associate Chief of Specialty Care Medicine

California- Department of Veterans Affairs California Health Care System, Fresno, CA, affiliated with University of California- San Francisco Medical Residency Program, leader in health care quality is recruiting for a full-time faculty member for the Associate Chief of Specialty Care Medicine position. The Associate Chief of Specialty Care Medicine will support the Chief of Specialty Care in performing clinical and administrative management of Specialty Care Medicine Service and its sections and areas falling under the medicine service. VACCHCS provides patient centered care, delivered by engaged, collaborative teams in an integrated environment that supports learning and continuous improvement. The candidate we are looking for must be a physician of high caliber and have outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills. As a member of the VACCHCS professional leadership team, the candidate must be knowledgeable in supervisory duties, administrative responsibilities, and provide high quality veteran-centered care within their area of subspecialty. Our leadership team embodies the blueprint for excellence and is expected to exemplify a strong work ethic, integrity and high-quality standards. Interested applicants should be able to demonstrate similar characteristics. Candidate must have a medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent), must be eligible to obtain a US medical license and be board certified in Internal Medicine. Fresno is located 3 hours south of San Francisco and just 2 hours from 3 national parks, including Yosemite, and year-round recreation.
