Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our CAS BTI team for an 8-10 week period. You will assist with a large-scale project that requires accounting knowledge and data analytics skills. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to impactful work in the field of client advisory and business transformation.

Essential Functions & Primary Duties

  • Assist in the preparation, analysis, and review of accounting data.
  • Perform data analytics tasks to support the large-scale project.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of project tasks.
  • Conduct research and gather relevant data to support project objectives, focusing on client needs and innovation.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations based on data analysis to inform business strategies.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing updates on project progress and contributing to strategic discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and client advisory practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Previous internship or work experience in accounting, client advisory, or data analytics.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx) and experience with business transformation projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Working towards a Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Ability to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results driven team oriented environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong computer and technical skills including, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet and audit software

Compensation

The hourly rate for this job in this market is $20-$40. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position. The compensation above is not representative of an employee's total compensation.
