Core Knowledge & Skills: Demonstrates strong command of project management standards, contract compliance, and delivery excellence. Skilled in risk management, financial tracking, and project planning. Work & Complexity: Leads projects from initiation to close, manages deliverables, tracks milestones, and ensures client acceptance. Proactively identifies and addresses risks and issues. Quality & Independence: Ensures high-quality outcomes, operates with autonomy, and drives continuous improvement in project delivery. Teamwork & Communication: Builds positive relationships with clients, delivery teams, and stakeholders. Coaches and mentors team members to achieve project success. As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Sr. Project Manager.
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager with experience leading AI Solutions and project initiatives, ideally within the utilities or energy sector. This role requires a unique combination of project leadership, technical fluency, and industry understanding to help shape and deliver impactful AI-driven solutions What You'll Be Doing AI & Data Project Experience
Demonstrated experience managing AI/ML initiatives (e.g., predictive analytics, computer vision, NLP, or LLMs) Understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, including data acquisition, model development, testing, deployment, and monitoring Experience working directly with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and cloud/data teams Ability to translate AI concepts into actionable business plans and communicate outcomes to non-technical stakeholders Familiarity with AI governance, ethics, and regulatory considerations (e.g., explainability, bias, data privacy)
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred). 7+ years of project management experience in IT or software development, with at least 2 years in AI/ML projects. Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder technology initiatives. Strong understanding of AI technologies (e.g., NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics) and their business applications. PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and MLOps tools. Familiarity with data governance and Responsible AI frameworks. Ability to remove blockers, mitigate risks, and manage client expectations through excellent written and verbal communications

As an AIS People Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Coaching: Helping employees navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and grow the skills that support success at AIS. Career Development: Supporting employees in exploring growth opportunities at AIS and aligning development plans to reach their goals. Performance Management: Creating clarity through clear expectations, regular feedback, and proactive support when performance concerns arise. Accountability and Results: Holding employees accountable for meeting expectations, delivering results, and adhering to company policies and values. Promotions and Compensation: Partnering with HR to evaluate and recommend promotions, salary adjustments, and rewards that reflect performance and potential. Timecard Approval: Ensuring accurate and timely approval of timecards.
At AIS, we are committed to offering competitive and fair compensation that reflects the skills, experience, and contributions of each team member. The targeted base salary range for this role is $105,000-$158,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
