Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Full-Time

As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Full-Time in Sherman Oaks, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a retail environment, helping to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure atmosphere for clients, employees, and visitors. You will remain visible throughout the location, responding to situations as they arise and providing outstanding customer service. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail space and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns within the location.
• Work collaboratively with retail staff and Allied Universal management to support a secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted behaviors.
• Complete necessary documentation and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a current Guard Card or related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
