Lubbock Senior Technician - Reese Mesonet 2 42729BR National Wind Institute Position Description Performs highly skilled mechanical and/or analytical duties in the coordination and completion of projects. Work is performed under general guidelines using established procedures and evaluated on results obtained. May supervise skilled and semi-skilled subordinates. Though all three of these pillars focus on distinct issues, they also maintain common ground via cross cutting themes. All research seeks to benefit communities at micro and macro scales. Major/Essential Functions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work independently in the field in various conditions to maintain mesonet weather stations. Required Qualifications High school or equivalent and five year's experience. Additional job-related education may substitute for required experience on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Basic knowledge of data acquisition and Safety Information Adherence to robust safety practices and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations are responsibilities of all TTU employees. Does this position work in a research laboratory? No Special Instructions to Applicants This position is for 20 hours per week. The days and scheduled hours will vary based on current need.
