OverviewCome build the platform that powers Microsoft's partner ecosystem. In Partner Center & Marketplace-a core part of Microsoft's Commerce + Ecosystems division-you'll help deliver the foundational services and experiences that enable partners to build, publish, sell, and grow with Microsoft-and help customers discover and deploy 1P/3P solutions. You'll leverage GitHub Copilot, and the latest generative AI models as you work across APIs, big data, services, and user experiences that operate at global scale-making it simpler, more secure, and more intelligent for partners and sellers to do business with Microsoft. This position will be in the Partner Foundations Engineering team responsible for building the platform and infrastructure services that power the Partner Portal (partner.microsoft.com), Partner AI Assistant, Partner Security and Partner Enrollment. This is a very visible role with high impact where all the components you build will be used by our entire ecosystem of internal and external stakeholders. As a Software Engineer in this team, you will have the opportunity to explore and innovate using cutting-edge technologies like Azure, OpenAI & LLMs, Data & ML and drive business processes and contribute to strategy and broader vision. You will be working on services that are built from the ground up and influence the design and architecture of our services. Success in this role means you will take ownership of feature areas, drive innovation with the latest AI technologies-including Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Studio, and GitHub Copilot-and deliver solutions that scale. Responsibilities Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features. Contributes to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight. Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable. Contributes to efforts to break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation. Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems. Remains current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current developments that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
