POSITION SUMMARY

The Assistant Community Engagement Program Manager will serve as a key liaison, providing comprehensive support to the team and broader client community at the facility. This role is instrumental in advancing the Client's 2030 Digital Equity program while delivering exceptional employee and community engagement experiences through strategic partnership development and innovative event programming.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Digital Equity & Community Partnership Management

  • Support activities to accelerate digital equity at scale for both nonprofit and corporate entities

  • Drive a portfolio of social impact partnerships across multiple sectors including education and economic opportunity

  • Identify and cultivate new partnership opportunities aligned with the Client's digital equity goals

  • Research and evaluate potential community partners for strategic alignment

  • Maintain partnership databases and track engagement metrics

Client Team & Community Support

  • Provide ongoing operational support to Client team & Community Engagement initiatives

  • Facilitate employee engagement activities and programs

  • Coordinate community outreach and volunteer opportunities

  • Support broader Client community engagement strategies

Event Development & On-Site Experience Delivery

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute community engagement events

  • Develop innovative on-site experiences that enhance employee satisfaction

  • Manage event logistics, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communications

  • Ensure all events align with Client's brand standards and corporate objectives

  • Plan & manage event budgets and resource allocation

Administrative & Site Council Support

  • Provide direct administrative and coordination support to Client Site Council Lead

  • Support Client Site Council meeting coordination and execution

  • Assist with Houston Site Council deliverables and strategic initiatives

  • Facilitate communication between Site Council and operational teams

  • Prepare monthly status updates with progress towards established goals

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Event Management, Community Development, or related field

  • 2-3 years of experience in community engagement, event planning, or corporate partnerships

  • Experience working in corporate real estate or facility management environment preferred

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Strong project management capabilities

  • Database management and reporting skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Customer service orientation with professional demeanor

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with corporate social responsibility or sustainability programs

  • Knowledge of digital equity initiatives and community development

  • Event planning certification (CMP, CSEP, or similar)

  • Previous experience working with nonprofit organizations

  • Understanding of Client's corporate culture and values

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

Deliverables & Reporting

  • Support monthly deliverables identified by key stakeholders from Client Site Council and Site Operations lead

  • Provide monthly status updates with progress towards established goals

  • Deliver event execution reports and community engagement metrics

  • Submit partnership development progress reports

Success Metrics:

  • Community partnership development and activation

  • Employee engagement program participation rates

  • Event execution quality and stakeholder satisfaction

  • Site Council deliverable completion and quality

  • Digital equity program advancement and impact measurement

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in office environment with occasional outdoor events

  • Capability to lift up to 25 pounds for event setup

  • Extended periods of computer work and phone communication

  • Occasional travel within Houston metropolitan area

Schedule:

  • Standard business hours with flexibility for evening/weekend events
