Access Control Installation Technician - Fort Lauderdale, FL Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Security Systems / Commercial Technology Integration About the Role We're seeking a skilled and motivated Access Control Installation Technician to join our growing team in Fort Lauderdale. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for installing and configuring access control systems in a variety of commercial environments, including hospitals, warehouses, schools, and office buildings. You'll work with industry-leading platforms such as Genetec, Lenel, and Software House, ensuring secure and reliable access solutions for our clients. Responsibilities * Install, configure, and troubleshoot access control systems (Genetec, Lenel, Software House) * Run and terminate cabling (low-voltage, network, and power) * Mount and wire door hardware, readers, panels, and controllers * Perform system testing and commissioning * Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely and accurate installations * Maintain documentation and adhere to safety and compliance standards Qualifications * 2+ years of experience in access control or low-voltage system installation * Familiarity with Genetec, Lenel, and Software House platforms * Strong understanding of commercial environments and security protocols * Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings * Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation What We Offer * Company Vehicle * Health, dental, and vision benefits * Paid time off and holidays * Opportunities for training and certification * A supportive team environment with room to grow Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
