Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 15+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 13 years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire.Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Position Objectives:

A successful candidate will lead technical efforts ensuring our space systems meet performance objectives in intense radiation environments. This includes effects due to both natural space and nuclear radiation environments. The objectives of a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff for Radiation Effects include:

  • Ensure mission success through proactive technical engagement and innovation
  • Drive technology, capabilities, and their integration into roadmaps and products
  • Validate and establish new engineering radiation effects processes
  • Mentor junior engineers and team-member
