 Associate's degree in related discipline or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.  CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
 Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

 The Senior Advanced Engineering Technician will act as a leader and mentor to new technicians in the support of engineering activities such as designing, testing, checking-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. This may entail performing the following:
 
  Interprets complex engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics, and understand the necessary interfacesPerforms complex system level troubleshooting to component levelWorks from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and troubleshooting functionsLays out, builds, calibrates, adjusts, installs and maintains equipment, components, devices or systems Imagine a world-class engineering environment.   On-call and call-In status is required after normal working hours, on weekend and holidays on a rotating basis.Qualify NWS Electronic Security Systems within 3 months of hire, to perform preventive and corrective maintenance indoors and outdoors on sensors, cameras, and active vehicle barriersQualify Cyber Security Workforce, and System Administrator to perform minor preventive and corrective maintenance on network systems to include AC&D system in secure areas.Some travel may be required Workplace Options: 
  This position is fully on-site, at a DoD owned and operated facility. While on-site, you will be a part of the Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic at Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay, Georgia Target salary range: USD $36.92/Hr. - USD $39.60/Hr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
