LOCATION OF (1) POSITION(S) TO BE FILLED: DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE, TENNESSEE REVENUE REGISTRATION AND REPORTING SYSTEM DIVISION, DAVIDSON COUNTY

This position is designed as Hybrid (2 days in office and 3 days Remote)

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and four years of full-time work experience in facilitating training and/or drafting/preparing communications.

Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years.

Substitution of Experience for Education: Full-time professional work experience in facilitating training and/or communications can be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.

Necessary Special Qualifications: Must pass a background check within six months of hire to fulfill internal security requirements.

Overview

Under direction, is responsible for overseeing the training, testing, and communication services for various stakeholders regarding the Tennessee Revenue Registration and Reporting System (TR3); and performs related work as required. This is the training and testing manager class in the TR3 division of the Department of Revenue. An employee in this class maintains an understanding of system procedures to ensure information and functions are communicated to appropriate parties. This class supervises the TR3 Training and Communications Specialist and TR3 Testing Coordinator. This class differs from the TR3 Assistant Director in that an incumbent of the latter functions in a larger administrative capacity and provides general oversight.

Responsibilities

1. Works closely with employees in the TR3 Business Consultant series and Department of Revenue leadership to define and document system procedures related to job functionality.
2. Supervises and coaches the TR3 Training and Communication Specialist and TR3 Testing Coordinator to ensure appropriate objectives are achieved.
3. Assist the TR3 e-file coordinator with preparation of external communications.
4. Leads the Letters Committee for TR3. Serves as a representative of the division for certain committees when necessary.
5. Oversees the development of TR3 training curricula and conducts TR3 training.
6. May attend various meetings to continuously improve external user experience with TR3 e-services.
7. Oversees the creation and dissemination of internal department communications about TR3 updates and changes. Creates help articles about functionality within TR3.
8. Responsible for presentations about TR3 e-services for external speaking engagements.

TN Driver Standards
