Dean of College of Business

Job Description

The Trulaske College of Business is seeking a motivated professional to assist the Advancement Office in the College of Business. This position provides critical support to the Executive Director for Advancement (EDA), the Sr. Director of Advancement, and Directors of Advancement. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage calendars, travel, and daily activities
  • Provide basic office support.
  • Research, prepare, and write materials for projects undertaken by the EDA, including the following:
    • Compile fundraising management reports, spreadsheets and presentations (e.g., donor listings, gift tracking and overall campaign statistics, monthly status reports, and stakeholder activities).
    • Prepare proposals for delivery to individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Provide event support for Director of External Relations.
  • Prepare reports, and formal and informal correspondence for both internal and external constituents.
  • Oversee gift processing of primary and matching gifts, gift acknowledgement (e.g., preparing letters, reviewing monthly gift reports, preparing gift summaries by donor) and pledge management (e.g., entering tracking, processing reminders, and analyzing and resolving past due pledges.) in conjunction with Central Advancement.
  • Manage endowment processing paperwork working as a liaison among the donor, the dean/executive director, and Central Development.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring the office budget, analyzing past requirements and activities to project future needs and updating monthly status reports to track proposed to actual activity.
  • Facilitate vendor and consultant contracts and payments.
  • Purchasing and reconciling of One Card
  • Prepare various journal entries and correcting entries
  • Submit grant applications for funding
  • Assist visitors of the Trulaske College of Business Advancement Office via phone, email, and in person communication.
  • Support Bruce J. Walker Foundation with gift processes
  • Other duties as assigned
Shift

8 am - 5 pm. / 1st shift, M-F

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

* Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
* Good understanding of office management procedures.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
* Must be able to handle and communicate sensitive information appropriately, discretely, and effectively. Must possess a high level of confidentiality.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $18.87 - $25.00/ hour

Grade: GGS 08
