| Summary Responsible for protection of the public from zoonotic diseases and animal bites, as well as investigate nuisances caused by animals. Responsible for enforcing animal related city ordinances and state laws throughout the community and providing care for animals and assistance to customers at the animal shelter. Pay Range: $19.37/hr. - $22.16/hr. (Depending on qualifications and experience) Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 
 Minimum Qualifications

 Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Preferred Qualifications Education/ Experience: 
 Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
 Licenses and Certifications Valid Class C Texas driver's license Department of State Health Services Basic Euthanasia Certification Basic Animal Services Officer Physical Requirements / Work Environment The incumbent works in an outdoor environment responding to calls for service in the field.
