The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) invites you to apply today to be considered for a position that provides customer service to the citizens of Maryland every day. The MTA is one of the largest transit systems in the United States and is seeking dynamic and energetic individuals to join the MTA team.


The
Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) seeks an A-Repairman - Electrician to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the following systems: transformers, motors and their control circuits, HVAC systems, motor operated door, boilers, power distribution systems and all types of lighting within facilities and buildings operated and maintained by the MTA. The incumbent must be able to read blueprints, schematics. He/she may be required to lift heavy objects, work in elevated locations and in cramped quarters. The work will be performed at various MTA facilities and perform various other duties as assigned to the facilities maintenance department.


Qualifications

Experience: Five (5) years of electrical experience performing installation, maintenance, and repair work involving all electrical circuits carrying 600 volts. Must have knowledge of the National Electrical Code. Completed a certified Industrial Electrical Apprenticeship. Possess a Journeyman Wireman's card/certification. Electrical Master's License or equivalent is acceptable.

EXAMINATION
If you meet the qualifications, you will be notified to take the written/interview examination, date to be determined at 1515 Washington Blvd Baltimore, MD. 21230.


Licenses & Certifications

Employees in this classification will be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
