We are seeking a Product Intelligence Manager. The Product Intelligence Manager is responsible for leading the collection, analysis, and distribution of product-related data and insights to support strategic decision-making within the product management function. This role plays a critical part in driving competitive advantage by transforming market intelligence, product performance data, and customer feedback into actionable strategies. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with deep industry knowledge and a collaborative mindset to support growth and innovation across the product portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Conduct ongoing analysis of competitor products, pricing strategies, product features, and distribution models.
- Benchmark competitor SKUs, catalog coverage, and product positioning to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory developments that may impact product strategy.
- Maintain a competitive intelligence database to ensure cross-functional visibility.
Product Performance Analysis
- Analyze product-level sales data, margin performance, returns, and warranty trends to identify underperforming or high-potential products.
- Partner with finance and sales analytics teams to develop dashboards and reporting tools for real-time product performance tracking.
- Support lifecycle management by identifying when to introduce, enhance, or retire products based on data-driven insights.
Voice of Customer & Market Needs
- Gather and synthesize customer feedback from sales teams, distributors, end-users, and service professionals.
- Translate qualitative feedback into quantifiable product needs and actionable insights for product development.
Strategic Planning & Product Road Mapping
- Provide regular strategic intelligence reports to inform roadmap planning and resource allocation.
- Contribute to long-term product strategy by identifying future trends, emerging product categories, and shifts in customer demand.
- Support annual planning and budgeting cycles with relevant product intelligence and market forecasts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Category Managers, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to align intelligence with execution.
- Serve as a central resource for product data and insights.
- Lead regular Product Intelligence reviews and participate in go-to-market planning initiatives.
Tools, Systems & Data Governance
- Develop and manage data collection systems and tools to improve the quality and timeliness of product intelligence.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across product databases, catalogs, and internal reporting platforms.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or Finance Preferred Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience in Product Management, Category Management, or Data Analysis, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
- Comfortable voicing opinions and sharing innovative concepts within a team setting.
- Experience with project management methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote to communicate in a team environment.
- Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with data analysis tools (Excel with VB or Power BI).
- Knowledge/understanding of relevant industry standards and processes, including automotive-specific terminology, product development lifecycles and key market trends and processes.
- Experience working with BOMs (Bills of Materials), program teams, engineering teams, and product definition systems.
- Experience with various Product/Category related processes (NPI, PLC, etc.)
- Experience with New Product Research
- Ability to template data into various formats
- Knowledge of automotive supply chain management, purchasing processes, or related areas.
- Familiarity with other relevant automotive tools and systems.
