 Job Description Performs inspections, measurements and tests on incoming materials, in-process and finished products to insure quality requirements are being met and processes are operating in control throughout the manufacturing process. 
 General
  
   Performs inspections, measurements and tests on product and processes at various stages within the manufacturing process (machining and/or forging), including at setup, to determine product and/or material conformance to requirements and specifications.
    
     Collects samples for testing, inspection and measurementPerform and conduct material and metallurgical testingPreparation of metallurgical reportsReads, analyzes and uses drawings and blueprints, sample data and other materials in order to determine conformance to requirements of processes, materials and productsSetup and use various types of inspection and measurement equipment to validate product and process conformance to requirements and specificationsNotifies supervisor or specified personnel of product or process deviations from specifications or requirementsAffixes stamps, tags, labels to the appropriate containers or pallets to identify product inspection or acceptability status as necessaryRoutes nonconforming materials to containment area or to sorting/inspectionRecords inspection, measurement and test data on designated forms, documents or computer information systemsObserves, monitors, and audits production operations processes, operators, part certifiers and equipment to insure proper use of test and measurement equipment and that required work instructions, procedures and processes are being adhered to.Review certificates of compliance and other test reports on gauges, materials and products to determine validity
