WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE:
  • Serve as an expert on product development, electrical product manufacturing processes, compliance, and end-use applications.
  • Promote Facility Electrical Protection and proper use of nVent ERICO products through customer site visits.
  • Deliver market intelligence and VOC insights to multi-functional project teams through interactions with customers.
  • Provide technical expertise to engineer and adapt systems to customer specifications.
  • Manage engineering projects for new products, enhancements, cost reduction, consolidation, and line extensions.
  • Drive digital transformation by developing design, quoting, and inspection tools.
  • Ensure technical accuracy in training materials, installation guides, manuals, and LMS content.
  • Represent nVent on industry codes and standards committees.
  • Assist customers with selecting and applying ERICO and ERIFLEX products.
  • Support initiatives in E-mobility, Energy Storage, and Renewable Energy.
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering degree from an accredited program required.
  • Ideally 10+ years of proven experience in a related engineering field.
  • Experience relating to electrical power systems, electrical connectors or other electromechanical products - ideally, Low Voltage Power Systems.
  • Able to manage various projects in fast-paced, self-directed environments, and communicate effectively-both in-person and virtually.
  • Both awareness of electrical design and safety standards (IEEE, ANSI, IEC, UL) and hands-on experience with electrical laboratory equipment.
  • The ability to travel up to 20% for customer support and off-site testing, as needed.

This position involves extensive interaction with various departments, including Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply, Sales, Technical Support, and Marketing. This role supports external customers, specifying engineers, designers, channel-partners, installers, contractors and end-users with the proper selection, installation, and application of nVent ERICO and ERIFLEX products.
