Part-Time Copywriter

This is a part-time (20 hours/week), hybrid contract role based in Austin, TX, running through the end of the year, with the potential to extend or convert to full-time.


Summary

The Copywriter will join a fast-moving internal creative team to craft engaging, on-brand storytelling that connects emotionally with audiences. This role spans concepting and execution across digital, print, and campaign work-ensuring a consistent brand voice and thoughtful attention to detail.


Our Ideal Candidate


  • Mid-level writer with significant agency or in-house brand experience



  • Quick learner who can absorb product details and translate them into compelling, clear messaging



  • 2-5 years of experience in copywriting, marketing communications, or brand storytelling



  • Passion for creative writing and brand voice development



  • Skilled in digital copywriting (email, paid media, social, landing pages, etc.)



  • Excellent at proofreading and copy editing



  • Receptive to feedback and able to implement direction quickly and without drama



  • Collaborative and communicative-comfortable working with creative, marketing, and cross-functional teams



  • Able to work independently while maintaining alignment with brand tone and strategy



  • Available to work in the office as needed for team collaboration or key meetings



Job Description

In this role, you'll develop creative copy for a range of assets-including brand campaigns, product launches, web pages, social content, print, and email.

You'll collaborate with creative leadership to evolve brand storytelling, bring campaigns to life, and ensure consistency across all marketing touchpoints.

This position offers an opportunity to help shape brand voice, support new product introductions, and strengthen connections between the brand and its customers through smart, engaging, and emotionally resonant copy.


Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, English, journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience



  • Portfolio showcasing conceptually strong, well-crafted copy across multiple formats



  • Experience working in agency or brand-side environments preferred



  • Demonstrated ability to proofread, edit, and uphold brand tone across deliverables



The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $25-$28 per hour. This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
