Join our team as an Assembly Technical Lead!
In this hands-on leadership role, you'll play a key part in driving production excellence, quality, and efficiency within our assembly, saw, and shipping departments. You'll lead by example-training and mentoring team members to reach their full potential, solving technical challenges, and ensuring smooth, high-quality operations every day.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:

Responsible for aligning work to team members appropriately in their area and/or shift, communicating positively and thoroughly with leads in other areas and shifts to measure and achieve desired results.

Perform positive and effective shift turnover and hand off.

Develop and maintain documentation to aid in process consistency, quality, and efficiency.

Maintain a safe working environment.

Complete new setup sheets and update setup sheets for both legacy and new product.

Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency with collaboration of engineering team and production supervisor.

Work with Engineering to improve production processes within the assembly area.

Assist Engineering to resolve issues new process implementation and testing activities.
Assists in the training and development of team members in the department.

ssist with troubleshooting issues with processes and equipment; escalate problems when appropriate.

Communicate any production stoppages or constraints to all affected departments at time of observation. Collaborate with other areas and try to recommend a solution for the stoppage/constraint.

Assist with the interview and hiring process.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3-5 years' experience; previous manufacturing experience preferred; previous work in a machine shop desired.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Strong technical experience with assembly.

Strong working knowledge of company policies and procedures.

Ability to read blueprints.

Ability to use micrometers, Vernier calipers, and other QA gauges.

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills.

Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.

Strong problem solving, technical, decision-making skills and the ability to think independently.

1st shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00AM - 3:30PM + overtime as needed on Fridays

Non-exempt (hourly)
