Design Engineer: This is where you come in.

We're looking for a Design Engineer responsible for the layout, design, and coordination of assigned projects while ensuring high-quality, accurate, and timely deliverables. This role supports ongoing engineering documentation, design development, and quality control efforts. The Design Engineer works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver coordinated mechanical designs and construction documents aligned with company standards.

  • Deliver exceptional designs - Produce fully coordinated, accurate HVAC and plumbing system designs that meet project requirements, codes, and quality standards.
  • Manage projects from start to finish - Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring schedules, budgets, and performance goals are consistently achieved.
  • Lead with accountability - Coordinate project workflows, delegate tasks effectively, and guide team members to deliver on time and with precision.
  • Collaborate across disciplines - Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure design intent aligns seamlessly with construction execution.
  • Produce clear, high-quality documentation - Create and maintain detailed calculations, reports, and design drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Invest in others - Mentor and train team members to strengthen technical expertise, uphold company standards, and support professional growth.
  • Champion innovation - Drive process improvements and introduce new technologies that enhance design efficiency and project delivery.

The Design Engineer reports to George Graham, Principal Engineer, and is part of a collaborative team driving a wide range of projects and initiatives that support our growing business. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to work across all levels and functions of the organization.

Your Background: What Kind of Person Will Thrive in This Role?

You should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering, with demonstrated expertise in HVAC and plumbing systems design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu is required.
  • Experience in the construction or building systems industry is preferred.

Compensation: $100,000-$150,000 Annually
