The Law Office Coordinator manages the daily operations of the Juvenile Justice Legal Clinic, ensuring an efficient, professional, and student-centered environment. This position supports faculty, attorneys, students, and clients while overseeing office systems, case intake, records, and financial procedures. The Coordinator also trains and supervises student employees and assists with grants and community partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office operations, including phones, reception, calendars, email, and supplies.
  • Manage access to office systems, databases, and computers.
  • Maintain and organize digital and physical client files.
  • Train and supervise student workers and clinical students on office procedures and legal software.
  • Review and edit student-prepared court documents.
  • Coordinate volunteers and collaborate with partner agencies for off-site legal clinics.
  • Gather and report data for grants, donors, and foundations.
  • Assist with grant writing and quarterly reporting.
  • Reconcile purchasing card and checking accounts; assist with budget tracking.
  • Uphold Creighton University's values, promoting diversity, inclusion, and ethical practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required.
  • 5+ years of office experience, working in a legal office or government strongly preferred.
  • Current valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of juvenile court processes and legal terminology.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal management software (e.g., PracticeMaster).
  • Experience training or supervising staff or students is helpful.
