Who We Are Looking For:

We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Executive Recruiter who thrives on building meaningful connections, excels at identifying exceptional executive talent, and enjoys collaborating within a high-performing, goal-oriented team. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Talent Advisor with a proven track record of designing and executing innovative recruiting strategies to build a scalable, global executive talent pipeline.

What You'll Do:



  • Lead and manage full-cycle executive searches at the VP level and above, focusing on identifying, engaging, and hiring top-tier leaders.
  • Design and execute creative, data-driven search strategies to attract and secure world-class executive talent.
  • Conduct market and competitive intelligence to map the executive landscape and pinpoint high-impact leaders across the industry.
  • Build and nurture a diverse pipeline of high-potential candidates for current and future leadership opportunities.
  • Champion The Trade Desk's culture and values, ensuring alignment and consistency throughout the hiring process.
  • Serve as a trusted talent advisor, coaching and empowering executive leaders on best-in-class interviewing and hiring practices.
  • Continuously refine and optimize recruiting processes, tools, and methodologies to drive efficiency and consistency across global searches.
  • Leverage both traditional and emerging sourcing channels to enhance diversity and expand reach to untapped talent pools.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, talent movements, and market insights to proactively evolve recruitment strategies and deliver organizational impact.


Who You Are:



  • 15+ years of progressive experience in executive search, including significant in-house experience recruiting senior leaders in dynamic, competitive markets.
  • Possess strong comfort and gravitas engaging, influencing, and advising C-suite and senior leadership, demonstrating credibility and strategic insight at the highest levels of the organization.
  • Bring conviction and well-informed points of view to talent strategy discussions, confidently advising leaders and shaping decisions with data, insight, and experience.
  • Recognized as a trusted talent advisor who provides thoughtful counsel, builds strong partnerships, and guides executives through complex hiring decisions.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing, assessing, and hiring passive executive candidates through relationship-driven approaches.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to articulate The Trade Desk's vision, impact, and culture in a compelling and authentic way.
  • Deep experience recruiting within high-growth, technology-driven environments is highly desirable.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and interpersonal agility; able to build trust and alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments, balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
  • Self-motivated, outcome-oriented, and driven to exceed expectations and deliver exceptional results.

CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC residents only: In accordance with CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$161,800 $296,600 USD
