Overview

The Vermont Department of Liquor and Lottery (DLL) is seeking an experienced and creative Marketing Manager to help lead marketing and promotional initiatives across two consumer-facing brands-Vermont Lottery and 802Spirits. This position plays a key role in advancing the Department's mission through strategic brand management, consumer engagement, and vendor relationships.



The Marketing Manager will oversee the development and implementation of integrated marketing plans across digital, print, radio, television, and in-person channels. This role manages external advertising vendors, develops and monitors a large marketing budget, and coordinates product promotions, social media, and website content. The ideal candidate will bring strong creative instincts and design sensibility, ensuring cohesive visual storytelling and consistent brand presentation across all touchpoints. The Marketing Manager will also support new product development, identify partnership opportunities, and represent the Department at industry and public events to enhance visibility and drive revenue growth.



This position requires strong skills in strategic planning, creative project management, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will combine a data-driven approach with innovative thinking to contribute to the Department's overall success.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed largely in a standard office setting, but with some in-state travel required for which private means of transportation may be required. Regularly scheduled out-of-state travel is necessary. Work outside of normal work schedule may be required. Tact and diplomacy are required in dealing with vendors, agents, and the general public.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communications or closely related field and three (3) or more years of experience in marketing, public relations, communications or creative services.



OR



Five (5) or more years or more of experience in marketing, public relations, communications or creative services.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree in business, public relations, marketing, advertising or communications.
