One Nevada Credit Union is seeking a motivated and experienced Financial Advisor / Consultant to join our Investment Services division. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver investment and financial planning services to One Nevada members in partnership with our Broker/Dealer. You'll play a key role in helping members achieve their financial goals while growing investment relationships, accounts, and assets under management.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Business Development - 75%
  • Promote investment services and products internally and externally under the direction of the Vice President, Member Investments.
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet investment account growth and AUM goals.
  • Partner with Marketing and internal departments to target new member segments and build referral pipelines.
  • Motivate One Nevada sales staff to generate strong referrals through existing and creative new marketing channels.
  • Support outreach to Select Employer Groups (SEGs) through the Focu$ program, seminars, and coordinated marketing activities.
  • Plan and deliver educational seminars to members and prospective members.
Member Communication & Relationship Management - 15%
  • Counsel members to understand their goals and recommend suitable investment strategies using a holistic financial planning approach.
  • Communicate effectively using email, newsletters, brochures, seminars, and outreach calls.
  • Represent One Nevada with the Broker/Dealer and related vendors.
  • Collaborate with internal departments regarding product sales and referrals.
  • Assist in resolving member account issues related to investment services.
Product & Account Management - 10%
  • Coordinate account setup and maintain ongoing account administration between One Nevada and the Broker/Dealer.
  • Conduct periodic research on existing and competitive investment products and market trends.
  • Participate in product and sales training for credit union staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, state insurance, and Broker/Dealer requirements.
  • Attend required training and meetings with Broker/Dealer and product wholesalers.
  • Assist in researching, recommending, and implementing new products and product updates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Thorough knowledge of personal investment management and financial planning techniques.
  • Strong understanding of current investment products, markets, and financial planning strategies.
  • Knowledge of SEC and NASD rules, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Understanding of IRS reporting requirements related to personal investment products.
  • General knowledge of financial institution operations and marketing principles.
  • Understanding of macroeconomic trends affecting investments.
  • Strong sales, communication, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial situations, develop plans, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Ability to motivate internal staff and maintain productive working relationships.
  • Proficient with PC systems including MS Office, CRM tools, email platforms, and financial software.
  • Ability to maintain regular, reliable attendance and respond appropriately to supervision and feedback.
Required Licenses & Credentials
  • NASD Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 or 66
  • Nevada state insurance licenses for life and variable products
  • Ability to become a Registered Representative of CUSO Financial Services or affiliated Broker/Dealer
  • Ability to obtain CFP designation within 30 months of hire (CFP preferred)
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree OR minimum three years' sales experience in the retail investment and insurance industry.
  • Prior experience providing investment advisory services to consumers.
