The Director of Service Desk is needed for the planning and end-to-end functioning of all Level 1 operational support for IT services and applications. The Service Desk Director will be responsible for the oversight and operational performance of all aspects of the Service Desk supporting Teammates and Applications across DaVita. The Director of the Service Desk will possess an in-depth and broad understanding of Service Desk strategies, processes and operational performance management, coupled with skills to drive operational efficiencies to maximize the customer experience

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

  • Oversee the implementation of a strategic and effective technology plan to support the Business needs mission and to enhance the IT operations.
  • Ensure compliance is adhered to within all Service Desk related duties
  • Plan and consult with other Process Owners regarding future support and technology needs.
  • Ensure effective on-going support for all systems in use by the Village, ensuring that the service provided to customers / users is the highest possible
  • Undertake scoping and projects geared toward the improvement of services offered.
  • Assess capabilities of current and new systems and prepare roadmaps and strategies accordingly
  • Oversee expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budget.
  • Maintain research and submit information regarding budget as needed.
  • Provide direction and oversight to ensure the proper Service Desk Teammate development, training, and engagement takes place
  • Ensure that quality and satisfaction levels with existing IT services remain high during the implementation of major new IT services and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other IT Directors accordingly
  • Oversee processes pertaining to the recruitment and development of new Service Desk Teammates

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience is required
  • The candidate selected to fill this position will possess seven (7) years related experience with at least three (3) years of experience at a management level or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated commitment and adherence to all DaVita core values
  • Demonstrated ability to present and report out on information publicly
  • A demonstrated positive attitude and approachability is expected
  • 10-15% of travel may be required
  • The ability to deal appropriately with confidential information and issues and use discretion and judgment
  • ITIL Foundations and Director level HDI Certifications are preferred
