Strategy Program Manager-Lending Innovation & AI

Overview

To direct activities designed to improve business performance through the implementation of innovative strategies. Partner with key stakeholders and owners to identify innovative products, services, and capabilities to address member needs, grow the Lending portfolio, and promote operational efficiency. Leverage member research and competitive intelligence to understand business gaps and opportunities. Present strategies and business cases to executive leadership, and ensure the design and implementation of new solutions are properly aligned to meet strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, prioritize, and maintain a Lending innovation backlog, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder needs; regularly groom backlog items to reflect evolving business priorities, market trends, and member feedback
  • Analyze and synthesize complex data from multiple sources to identify strategic innovation opportunities and present actionable recommendations to improve business performance
  • Define desirable, viable, and feasible solutions that address business needs and provide support to business stakeholders in subsequent implementation efforts
  • Develop and apply strategic frameworks to shape innovation strategy for Lending, informed by internal factors and external trends affecting the business
  • Drive innovative thought by researching and evangelizing emerging technologies and trends, assisting teams in understanding the potential impact on member and team member experience
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics to identify opportunities for member experience enhancement, increased market penetration, and/or increased operational efficiency
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership at all levels within the business unit; help establish the strategic plan as well as regularly review gaps in strategic goals and initiatives
  • Play the part of "friendly challenger" to goal and initiative owners and offer candid and objective feedback regarding business decisions, driven by both experience and data-driven analysis
  • Partner closely with product owners and business unit stakeholders to obtain and maintain support for proposed innovations
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration by identifying opportunities for teams to work together across business lines by communicating knowledge and sharing pertinent information accordingly
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of industry trends and best practices to support strategic initiatives
  • Direct, lead and support teams by developing and coordinating work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and training for strategic Lending innovation initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Advanced skill using innovating thinking to solve problems and facilitate the decision-making process
  • Advanced skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams; managing timelines/deadlines/resources; ensuring successful project implementation
  • Advanced analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results, or relationships
  • Advanced skill leading and guiding multi-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives
  • Advanced experience in business case development for cross-organizational initiatives
  • Advanced skill influencing and building consensus with business partners
  • Extensive experience in implementing strategic initiatives to support organizational objectives
  • Extensive experience in presenting findings, conclusions, and strategic roadmaps clearly and concisely to stakeholders, management, and executive leadership
  • Extensive experience in demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative taking, decision-making and creativity in solving business problems
  • Expert organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Advanced project management skills (e.g., Agile)
  • Expert problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team building, and presentation skills
  • Expert verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Expert skill in the use of MS Office Products (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field

Desired Qualification(s)

  • Expert knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products, and services
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field
