Job Description




As a Security Professional - Badge Access Control in Louisville, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct regular patrols, manage access points, and interact with personnel and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles, following site-specific procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity in accordance with Allied Universal policies.
  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors at the location by answering questions and offering directions as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the manufacturing and industrial facility in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any observations as required.
  • Document and report any access control violations, unusual activities, or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel or supervisor.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including coordination with local authorities and Allied Universal management as applicable.
  • Adhere to all site-specific policies and security-related procedures while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
