Summary of Job Duties:Join our team at the Family Medical Center in Batesville as an Access Coordinator III! We're looking for passionate individuals dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and supporting patients throughout their registration and appointment journeys. Under supervision, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clinic's patient resources and ensuring accurate data collection. Your main responsibilities will include assisting patients with scheduling and billing inquiries, collecting comprehensive patient information, ensuring timely billing and payments, coordinating appointments, managing cash operations, answering calls and voicemails, and completing work queues efficiently. The ideal candidate will also be capable of performing all duties of the Access Coordinator I & II levels and supporting our team's patient care activities.   • High School, GED, or formal educational equivalent

  • Three (3) years experience in customer service or healthcare environment. registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Good communication skills, computer/basic keyboard skills, telephone etiquette skills, and general knowledge of office machines, including printers and scanners. Excellent customer service skills.

  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology is required.

  • Basic proficiency with computers and data entry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment

Additional Information:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedules, reschedules, and coordinates appointments using the hospital systems by performing visit notifications for patients.

  • Conducts pre-registration as needed, as well as inputs and/or updates accurate patient information.

  • Process walk-ins, create new patient charts, and access systems for orders as appropriate.

  • Inventory, order, and stock supplies, clean and maintain equipment, Pick-up and deliver mail to mailroom, ensure the waiting room is clean, stocked with educational information, and coffee.

  • Perform ABN completion and schedule surgeries and/or tests. Issues school/work excuses, sends out no show letters, takes patient photos.

  • Responsible for blocking schedules as appropriate and canceling and rescheduling appointments as requested.
