Position Summary
This position is responsible for administering Microsoft Intune and JAMF Pro environments to manage Windows and Apple devices across labs and EITS-supported units. It builds and maintains system configurations, software packages, and security policies to ensure compliance with university standards. This role also addresses restricted and sensitive data concerns through SOC notices and DLP alerts. The position serves as Data Network Liaison ( DNL), coordinates with networking teams for IP management and VLAN configuration, and contributes to the development of desktop standards and automation initiatives throughout enterprise systems.

Windows/Mac OS and applications, Server 2012/2016, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, Intune or other Windows management software, JAMF or other Apple management software, Apple Remote Desktop, Beyond Trust or other remote support tools, Boot Camp, Faronics Deep Freeze, PowerShell Scripting, Print Management, Hardware Repair, Project Management, knowledge of virtualization concepts, Teams, Adobe, UGAMart, Team Dynamix, Azure, and knowledge of mobile devices.

Endpoint Administration and Support


  • Administers Microsoft Intune and JAMF Pro environments, including device groups, licensing groups, RBAC groups, configurations, app deployments, Defender deployments, update rings, and patching.
  • Supports Windows and Apple hardware/software for EITS staff and supported units.
  • Creates and maintains GPOs and remote administration policies to manage client systems.
  • Ensures compliance with UGA policies and information security standards.
  • Addresses restricted and sensitive data concerns via SOC notices and DLP alerts.
  • Provides requested reports to management and prepares monthly lab usage reports.
  • Serves as Data Network Liaison (DNL) for EITS, Cost Recovery units, and Lab/Lending clients.
  • Coordinates with networking teams for port activations, VLAN setup, and IP range management.

  • Develops and maintains desktop standards and operating procedures.
  • Identifies opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborates with UGA and vendor partners to resolve technical issues.

Lab and Classroom Systems Administration


  • Oversees MLC Labs/Lending and Cost Recovery Lab/Classroom environments from equipment purchase through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Coordinates with Tech Lending staff on Tier 1 responsibilities while focusing on systems administration for lab and classroom environments.
  • Provides software packaging and deployment for lab and classroom environments.
  • Implements specialized software requests for instructional and research environments.
  • Administers Adobe Creative Cloud, including package creation and account management.
  • Conducts onboarding services for new employees to ensure proper equipment and access.
