Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Specialist

As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Specialist in Sparrows Point, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail distribution environment, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will engage with employees and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication as part of your daily responsibilities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons on location.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft and other undesirable activity within the retail environment.
• Communicate promptly with site management and Allied Universal as appropriate regarding security-related concerns or incidents.
• Complete required documentation and reports accurately and promptly after each incident or patrol.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
