Job Description Assistant Director of Nursing, RN River Park Hospital, a 165-bed facility and a leader in behavioral health care, located in Huntington, WV has an opening for a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). River Park provides acute inpatient services to children, adolescents, adults and seniors and features a 22-bed residential treatment program for children and adolescents and a 25-bed adult forensic unit. River Park was recently recognized as a Top Performer by Joint Commission and maintains the highest standards for quality care. Website: https://www.riverparkhospital.net Qualifications Job Title: Associate Director of Nursing, RN Join our dynamic healthcare team and make a meaningful impact on patient care and staff development! Work closely with clinical administration to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory and State requirements. Lead performance improvement activities within nursing departments and contribute to hospital-wide initiatives. Mentor and support RNs, LPNs, MHTs, and other clinical staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Provide coverage as a nursing supervisor or staff nurse when needed, demonstrating flexibility and leadership. Coordinate staff education functions to ensure continuous professional development and excellence in patient care. Summary of Core Job Functions: Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for developing, directing, monitoring, and evaluating nursing care and practice within the psychiatric nursing division. Serves as a resource person, guides, counsels, and instructs professional and ancillary nursing personnel. Essential Core Functions:
Assuring / Improving Quality Care: Facilitates the patient and family's right to receive safe, quality and cost-effective care. Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and information. Provides supervision and coverage in the absence of a nurse manager.
