Summary of the Job:

The Senior Director, Operations and Customer Care is a strategic enterprise leader responsible for overseeing and modernizing operational and customer-facing functions across the bank. This role ensures scalable, resilient, and customer-centric delivery across Bank Branch Operations, Payment Operations, Item Processing, and Contact Center Technology. The leader drives modernization, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment to support FNBO's long-term technology and service goals.

About This Role:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and execution for Bank Branch Operations, Payment Operations, Item Processing, and Contact Center Technology.

  • Oversee business-aligned technologies across Banking, Partner, and Corporate Platforms.

  • Champion modernization initiatives and enterprise architecture alignment.

  • Lead the development and execution of a 1-2-year enterprise application strategy for assigned function.

  • Serve as the primary technology partner to cross functional technology and business leadership, translating business needs into scalable, secure, and compliant technology solutions.

  • Oversee the application delivery for assigned function, ensuring performance, resiliency, and user-centric design.

  • Define and implement functional standards and best practices.

  • Drive the continuous improvement of skills required and competencies for the staff in assigned function.

  • Align function strategy with enterprise architecture, security practices, and infrastructure to ensure integrated, scalable, and compliant technology solutions.

  • Support platform rationalization and legacy system retirement to reduce complexity, technical debt, and cost over time.

  • Manage technology investment planning and vendor relationships related to assigned function and software delivery tooling.

  • Build and sustain a high-performing team that balances business acumen with technical depth.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field / experience.

  • 7+ years of technology leadership experience.

  • Proven track record of leading enterprise-scale functions and business-aligned technology strategies.

  • Deep expertise in agile delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and vendor governance.

  • Strong ability to communicate complex technology strategies in clear, business-relevant terms to executives and stakeholders.

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $172,871.00-$293,881.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
