THE HIGH LEVEL

The candidate will support break/fix tickets and service requests throughout the Richmond Metro Area. Youwill also be responsible for maintaining, updating, and documenting inventory in real time.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING



  • Provide technical / IT support for Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Responsible for system updates, ticketing and asset management
  • Perform break/fix software & hardware support (including OEM-certified warranty repair)
  • Execution of asset disposal activities
  • Support of end users that remotely access services (including shipping replacement devices, leveraging 3rd party hardware repair or other forms of onsite support)
  • Provide support remotely via remote administration tools as well as onsite / desk side
  • Imaging of Commonwealth devices
  • Provide support for Windows operating system, software/application support, troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, system restorations, etc.
  • Ability to provide after-hours and weekend support (When needed)


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE




  • You have 5 plus years of experience in IT support.
  • Extensive experience troubleshooting hardware on laptops, desktops, and tablets
  • Experience and understanding of command prompts
  • Experience with writing, reviewing and developing scripts
  • A valid driver's license
  • A self-driven attitude
  • A keen eye for recognizing problems and pushing resolutions
  • A critical thinker who can think outside the box
  • Ability to communicate complicated resolutions to everyday end users
  • Teamwork mentality and professional demeanor
  • Ability to empathize with customers
