Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Indianapolis, IN. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • As a Test Technician, you will perform skilled duties in the testing, troubleshooting, repair, harness build, operating, and maintaining a real-time simulator, Printed circuit board (PCB) modifications, and calibration of equipment in the Electronics Lab.
  • Perform or schedule lab equipment maintenance to ensure working order
  • Perform product verification and validation testing
  • Diagnose electrical problems and troubleshoot how to correct them using wiring schematics, repair manuals, and part catalogs as necessary
  • Inspect and test equipment and components to diagnose malfunctions
  • Assists the Controls Engineer with developing, managing, and implementing projects as needed.
  • Identify and implement improvements for test lab processes and fixtures.
  • Support a safe, inclusive workplace where all team members value diversity and individual differences.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $22.90/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Length: Temp (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Printed circuit board (PCB) assembly, modification, and repair, including soldering of surface-mount and through-hole components.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree with 2 years of experience.
  • Experience with Institute for Printed Circuits (IPC) Electronics Manufacturing Acceptability Standards.
  • Experience with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection.
  • Experience with asset and facilities management.
  • Problem-solving techniques and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Familiarity with cable/harness fabrication, manual soldering.
  • Knowledge of electronic test instruments and tools.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and tracking methods.
  • Knowledge of electrical schematics and wiring guides.
  • Electronic soldering and printed circuit board repair skills.
  • Assembly of electrical test and instrumentation equipment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
