Summary
Responsible for the overall direction and functioning of the clinical engineering program and its processes to ensure alignment with agency strategic goals. Also responsible for supervision of the clinical engineering program staff and technicians to ensure the highest quality services to the agency.

Essential Functions
-Oversees and approves staff hiring, work allocation, training, performance management, including required documentation, as well as other supervisory functions.
-Monitor, problem-solve and implement quality improvement initiatives that support program goals.
-Monitor and evaluate new technologies in clinical settings.
-Troubleshooting problems with equipment or processes to identify their causes and solutions.
-Establishing and maintaining standards for operating equipment according to industry guidelines.
-Oversee and coordinate equipment problem solving, repairs and replacement.
-Ensure preventive maintenance on equipment is performed.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Biomedical Engineering required

Licenses and Credentials
MGH Security RMV Check/Registry of Motor Vehicles Driving Report - MGB Internal preferred

Experience
Biomedical Engineer Experience 8-10+ years required or Relevant engineering experience 8-10+ years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced Knowledge in biomedical equipment, its testing/maintenance and diagnostic repair.
- Excellent communication skills to enable building relationships with others and share information effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues with medical equipment.
- Excellent team building skills to collaborate with multiple health care providers.
- Display strong leadership and communication skills to clearly manage and oversee the program operations.
- Possess a high level of technical expertise in clinical engineering to analyze and problem solve complex issues.
