Field Technician

About the Role:

Join our team as a Field Technician and bring your hands-on
skills to life! You'll be on the front lines installing, repairing, and
maintaining gas, electric, and water sub-metering equipment-keeping systems
running safely and efficiently. Each day offers something new, from diagnosing
issues in the field to reviewing project reports and ensuring every device
meets top quality standards. You'll play a key role in supporting new
installations, conducting property surveys, and training peers-all while staying
compliant with OSHA and company policies. If you love working outdoors,

What You'll Do:

  • Install, maintain, and repair gas, electric, and water
    sub-metering equipment at sites across the U.S.
  • Conduct property surveys, gather project documentation, and
    evaluate potential new installations.
  • Review subcontractor quotes, assist with project planning,
    and ensure timelines and budgets stay on track.
  • Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company quality
    standards to ensure safe, compliant operations.
  • Support and train team members or subcontractors as directed
    to promote consistent, high-quality performance.

Who You Are:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Three (3) years of technical/trade experience
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Proven experience completing the following documentation,
    Building Installation Details (BID), Completed MWO, Inventory Logs, Placed in
    Service Notices (PISN), Time Record Sheet (TRS), Automatic Meter Reading (AMR)
    System programing files
  • Field Technicians assigned to California must have and
    maintain a California Service Agent license
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of metering and experience with various automatic
    meter reading (AMR) technologies
  • Startup and project management skills
  • Independent problem solving and analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Must take all required safety courses as identified by Yardi

Ideal to Have:

  • Low voltage or previous meter installation/maintenance
    experience
  • Previous site supervisor knowledge and experience
  • Electrical and plumbing experience
