Job Description

Position Summary:

The Quality Engineer Intern will gain hands-on experience in inspecting and verifying materials and components to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications. This role provides exposure to quality engineering processes, forging operations, and professional development in a manufacturing environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drawing Interpretation:
    • Read and interpret customer and internal manufacturing drawings
    • Compare and reconcile difference between customer drawings and manufacturing drawings
  • Process Verification:
    • Ensure job routers meet customer specifications.
    • Verify inclusion and compliance of special processes such as Heat Treatment (HT), Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and surface processing.
  • Testing Validation:
    • Confirm that all required testing aligns with customer requirements and applicable specifications.
  • FAI Review and Support:
    • Review First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation for accuracy and completeness.
    • Provide additional support for FAI delta reviews and creation of new FAIs.
    • Manage dual certification requirements by preparing separate FAIs for each certification.

Required Skills:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of algebra and geometry to assist with measurements and inspections.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and standards (AS9100, NADCAP preferred).

Experience & Education

  • Junior, or senior college student earning a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Cumulative G.P.A of 2.8 or higher.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $23.00 to $23.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
