STA Engineer - Shape the Future of Automotive Excellence

Pay: $46.06 per hour

Why This Role Matters



  • Drive supplier compliance with quality, delivery, capacity, and warranty standards
  • Lead technical discussions with suppliers on electrical and electronics systems
  • Ensure readiness for new product launches and support continuous performance improvement



Key Responsibilities



  • Implement commodity-specific business plans for supplier performance
  • Monitor supplier compliance with quality systems and standards
  • Lead PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) initiatives
  • Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for manufacturing issues
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to suppliers on electrical/electronics manufacturing processes



Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or supplier management
  • Experience with one or more manufacturing processes: Casting, Machining, Forging, Stamping, Welding, Plastic/Rubber Molding, Brazing, Sintering, Automated/Manual Assembly, Controls Automation, Paint, Chroming, SMC
  • Proven expertise in PPAP, APQP, and quality systems
  • Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience in electrical and electronics manufacturing



Preferred Qualifications



  • Familiarity with Ford systems and standards (e.g., Q1)
  • Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification
  • Ability to lead supplier discussions with minimal supervision
