Job Title: Senior Accountant - Real Estate Fund Accounting
Location: Lake Mary, Florida (4 days in office per week)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $80,000 - $85,000 annually.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Associate to join the real estate fund accounting team within Alternative Operations. This role will involve providing accounting services for moderately complex funds, preparing reports, and ensuring financial operations align with the company's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fund accounting, client interaction, and resolving complex financial discrepancies. This role is in Lake Mary, Florida, with an expectation of 4 days in-office per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accounting services on assigned clients and moderately complex funds, including determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports.
• Conduct complex fund/client accounting tasks, focusing on service improvement, efficiency, and process enhancement.
• Review cash and asset reconciliations for complex accounts, resolve discrepancies, and guide junior team members.
• Draft and review client reports related to fund performance and assist in resolving client inquiries regarding accounting processes.
• Assist in evaluating the impact of new GAAP and IFRS regulations on fund accounting practices.
• Provide input into methodologies and check the work of junior team members to ensure quality and accuracy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• 3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Big 4 accounting firm experience is preferred.
• Prior experience using Yardi is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
