Position Summary
The AVP, Workforce Planning & Organizational Effectiveness is a strategic HR executive responsible for architecting and executing enterprise-wide talent strategies that enable business transformation. This role blends consultative leadership, data-driven workforce modeling, and organizational design to ensure has the right capabilities, capacity, and culture to meet its evolving goals. A key component of this role is leading and developing a team of Talent Business Partners, while also overseeing Employee Relations and Leave Programs to ensure a consistent, compliant, and employee-centered experience.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Workforce Strategy



  • Lead the development of multi-year workforce strategies aligned with business priorities, digital transformation, and global expansion.
  • Partner with Finance, Strategy, and Business Unit leaders to model future workforce scenarios and identify capability gaps.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable talent plans, including skills forecasting, location strategy, and organizational design.


Talent Business Partner Leadership



  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Talent Business Partners to deliver high-impact, consultative support to business leaders.
  • Build capability within the team to drive strategic workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning across the Talent Business Partner function.


Employee Relations & Leave Programs



  • Oversee the design and execution of employee relations strategies that promote a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace.
  • Ensure consistent handling of employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution across the organization.
  • Lead the administration and continuous improvement of leave programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Benefits teams to manage risk and ensure policy alignment.


Talent Architecture & Capability Building



  • Design frameworks for skills-based planning, internal mobility, and career pathing to support evolving business needs.
  • Lead enterprise-wide talent reviews and succession planning for critical roles and future leadership pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to build scalable programs that accelerate readiness and growth.


Performance & Organizational Effectiveness



  • Oversee performance enablement strategies that support agile goal-setting, feedback culture, and pay-for-performance alignment.
  • Advise senior leaders on organizational effectiveness, team design, and leadership capability building.


Change Leadership & Transformation Support



  • Serve as a strategic advisor on talent implications of transformation initiatives, including technology adoption, restructuring, and global expansion.
  • Lead change management efforts that support workforce transitions and cultural evolution.


Talent Analytics & Insights



  • Use workforce analytics to inform strategy, measure impact, and identify trends in engagement, retention, and capability development.
  • Present insights to executive leadership and influence data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure access to growth opportunities across all levels and geographies.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in strategic workforce planning or talent management roles.
  • Experience in consulting, strategy, or enterprise transformation environments preferred.
  • Proven success in leading and developing HR business partner or talent partner teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations and leave program management.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy into talent architecture.
  • Advanced analytical skills and experience with workforce planning tools and HR analytics platforms.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred.
