Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator for the department of Pediatrics, Population Health, Quality, and Implementation Science (PopQuIS) at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
The Program Coordinator works closely with the PopQuIS Division Director, Clinical Operations Manager, and Program Manager under the direct supervision of the Division Director. The Program Coordinator will have matrixed responsibilities that incorporate a range of activities related to the various missions of the Division. The Program Coordinator is responsible for managing assigned projects (which will include the direction of personnel) under the direction of the Division Director and Operations Manager. They will also provide high level primary administrative support for the Director and Operations Manager. This role requires flexibility and responsiveness to help to plan, organize, coordinate, and manage day-to-day activities related to various research, quality, and scholarly projects within the Division. This individual is an important internal (to Rutgers) and external (nationally and potentially internationally) face of the PopQuIS Division who is critical in communicating the brand and work of the Division, while also working to manage the complexity of planning and operationalizing of the Division Director's schedule and activities.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Maintains comprehensive knowledge of University and Department's policies and procedures.
- Coordinates division related activities, research projects and staffing needs. Trains, evaluates staff and faculty performance on specific projects as assigned. Works with Division Director and Operations Manager to provide orientation and ensure integration of new staff members into the Division.
- Assumes participation and leadership of matrixed activities as assigned.
- Coordinates, assists with planning, and maintains schedules of Division director and assist with others' as assigned.
- Maintains Division records, and coordinates schedules; gathers personnel and postdoc evaluations in a timely manner. Interacts with the Department regarding routine personnel matters.

| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Public Administration or related field plus three (3) years of progressively more responsible professional experience in a business office, university or government agency setting.
- Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
