Description

The Executive Vice President (EVP) provides overall leadership and strategic direction to the Lifespark managed senior living portfolio. The EVP is responsible for managing owner/capital partner relations and leading long-range goal planning, strategies, and policies routinely exercising discretion and independent judgement. This position works closely with the company Senior Vice President, Finance, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Chief Growth Officer (CGO).

Position: Executive Vice President for Senior Living

Salary: $250,000 - $325,000 annually, depending on experience

Service Area: Lifespark Corporate Office, St. Louis Park 55416

Schedule: 1.0 FTE, Full - Time / Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Position Functions & Responsibilities:

Key Attributes



  • Successfully leads both internal and external relationships.
  • Manages with business intelligence, backed up by data.
  • Collaborative and transparent approach in the management of the organization.
  • Responsible for communicating effectively with external Board(s) and financial partners, providing timely information necessary for the Board/financial partners review and decisions.
  • Experienced transformational leader who is committed to affecting change to support the company's mission of COMPLETE Senior Living.
  • Ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.


Strategic Leadership



  • Monitor industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly
  • Identify, analyze, and pursue opportunities for new community development, management contracts, joint ventures, or strategic partnerships.
  • Evaluate and recommend market entry strategies based on demographic trends, regional demand, and competitive analysis.


Partnership & Relationship Development



  • Build and nurture relationships with owners, developers, investors, and community partners to advance organizational growth.
  • Represent the company at senior living and healthcare conferences, industry events, and networking forums to elevate brand presence and identify business opportunities.
  • Negotiate and structure partnership agreements that align with organizational objectives and deliver measurable value.


Financial & Business Performance



  • Develop and manage forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics tied to revenue and occupancy growth goals.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Marketing to evaluate the financial viability and ROI of potential business opportunities.
  • Present business cases and progress updates to the COO and financial partners.
  • Leads annual budgeting process for senior living portfolio.
  • Monitors company budgets and ensure spending is kept within the established budgets


Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Work collaboratively with Finance, Operations, Clinical, and Growth teams to ensure smooth integration and execution of new business ventures.
  • Provide strategic insight to guide market positioning, service development, and portfolio diversification.
  • Ensure all business initiatives align with regulatory standards, quality expectations, and organizational values.


Leadership & Team Development



  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing and diverse team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation aligned with the organization's mission and core values.
  • Champion a proactive, data-informed approach to business growth and decision-making.


  • Oversee the development and execution of company policies & strategies.
  • Lead the senior management team in achieving organization goals.
  • Represent the company in external affairs and public relations.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; MBA or master's degree strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in strategic leadership within senior living, post-acute, or healthcare services.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, market expansion, and partnership development in a mission-driven organization.
  • Deep understanding of the senior living industry, including independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and home- and community-based services.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience evaluating and negotiating complex business opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
