Overview

Shift: Days; 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Demonstrates expertise and leadership in surgical orthopedics, neurology, spine and podiatry, which actively affects the quality of patient care within these subspecialties. Involved and actively participates with staff education, coordination of, and continued upgrade of equipment and instrumentation as it relates to specialty areas. Is a liaison for sales representatives for the various specialties and the surgeons. Assists with staff competencies as it relates to the specialty areas, as well as all cost containment initiatives and optimal practice in the perioperative setting. Assists with all coordination related to robotic cases, both DaVinci and Mako.

Responsibilities
  • Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation.
  • Identifies realistic and measurable outcomes which are complimentary to medical plan of care and centered on the patient's and family's/significant other's needs and appropriate practice guidelines.
  • Collaborates with co-workers, physician, other disciplines, patient, and family
  • Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation.
  • Integrates research findings into practice

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Three (to five) years of clinical experience in specialty area
  • Background in orthopedics and robotic surgery

Education:

  • Diploma from an RN program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
    • Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must possess and maintain ACLS
