Position Overview We're seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Commissions & Payroll Specialist to support our fast-paced Accounting Department. This role is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll and commission payouts across multiple divisions, ensuring compliance with compensation plans, and maintaining trust with our internal teams. This person will work closely with our Sales, Install, HR, and Finance teams to reconcile data, identify discrepancies, and keep the trains running on time. Key Responsibilities * Own the end-to-end payroll process (bi-weekly, semi-monthly) through our PEO and internal systems * Process and audit commission payouts for multiple teams based on compensation plans and sales performance * Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of earnings, bonuses, advances, and clawbacks * Communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders when resolving issues * Collaborate with Sales and Ops to confirm install and funding dates, ensuring proper payment triggers * Support audits, reporting, and internal financial reviews as needed * Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement system or workflow changes * Maintain compliance with payroll laws across multiple states (UT, AZ, FL, CA, WI, TX, CO, etc.) Skills & Qualifications Required: * 2-4 years of payroll or commissions processing experience * Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) * High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines * Strong understanding of numbers, compensation logic, and payroll fundamentals * Professional communication skills-written and verbal * Discreet and trustworthy with sensitive compensation data Preferred: * Experience working with a PEO (e.g., BBSI) * Familiarity with commission platforms or tools (SalesRabbit, Divvy, NetSuite, etc.) * Experience in the solar, construction, or field services industry * Knowledge of multi-state payroll and wage compliance Core Competencies * Ownership: You take full responsibility for your work and follow through * Transparency: You proactively communicate status, delays, and discrepancies * Service-Oriented: You treat internal stakeholders like customers * Efficiency: You're always looking to improve and streamline processes Compensation & Benefits * Competitive salary based on experience * Health, dental, and vision benefits * PTO and holiday pay * Career growth opportunities within a fast-growing company * Access to professional development and internal mentorship Salary: $50,000-$60,000 | |
