Anticipated wage range $30.60 - $30.61 per hour

SUMMARY:

Continually improve processes and equipment throughout the plant and grounds. Perform preventative maintenance to maximize the efficiency of all plant processes using record keeping, knowledge, skills and effective communications.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months to one year position related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS:



  • Ability to read, write, and speak and understand in English, to interpret documents such as specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and supervisors.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:



  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, compute rate, ratio, and percent.


TECHNOLOGICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • GMP-training and understanding of standards.
  • HAZCOM/HAZCAT training.
  • Computer - Basic Knowledge and use including email.
  • Must learn and use CMMS and Operating Systems Programs as required. Learn CMMS program to do work orders and all PM's.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks.

  • Maintain and Monitor Equipment, locate and identify parts to repair or replace. Ensure proper operation of equipment and machinery, lubricate as required.
  • Perform process improvement, monitor processes, identify areas for improvement, perform special projects as required.
  • Repair, rebuild, adjust, lubricate, inspect, make repairs. Follow GMP, SQF and food safety requirements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, detect and correct problems, identify causes of breakdowns, perform adjustments.
  • Complete paperwork, log entries, parts usage, fill out work orders, complete daily shift reports.
  • Communicate effectively with mechanics, operators, co-workers and supervisors. Exchange information, assist other mechanics, share skill and knowledge,
  • Respond to maintenance requests, assist technicians when repairs are needed.
  • Observe Confined Space Entry Procedures, Hot Work Permit Procedures, Emergency Evacuation Procedures, Follow LOTO (lock out/tag out) Procedures and Hazardous Material Policies.
  • Operate forklift, scissor lift, etc. as required.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for working on equipment, distance vision for looking at overhead equipment, color vision for color coding--wire, steam lines, etc., peripheral vision to see forklift traffic and to view the process, depth perception for making repairs and working on ladders, and the ability to adjust focus for seeing overhead equipment and working on machinery.

  • Extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, electrical shock, high precarious positions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, all weather conditions, vibrations, and loud noise.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
