Function:

The primary function of the Utility it to perform all of the Insulating department functions as assigned by filling in for absent employees or supplying support in the event of increased production requirements.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Performs all duties of a frame maker, including butyl application, bending, and desiccant application. May perform duties of a Loader/Unloader, builder, packer or lead person. Performs duties in accordance with the Business Process Documentation. Participants in Viracon's continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements.

Additional Job Responsibilities:

May assist in the training of lesser skilled employees as instructed. Fills in for absent employees or in the event of increased production schedules. Maintains an effective working relationship with all department employees. Maintains a neat and orderly working area. Performs duties in a safe manner, using all approved safety equipment as instructed. May perform reasonably similar or related duties as instructed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred but not required. Ability to read and understand work instructions (English). Mathematical skills as related to measurements. Familiar with operating power tools. Ability to take supervision. Ability to communicate effectively and work as a team member. Must be able to safely perform essential job responsibilities. Regular full time attendance. Promotes Viracon in a positive manner and obeys all policies.
